Taconic State Parkway Road Closure Scheduled

There will be a road closure on the Taconic State Parkway for three days in Westchester as contracting crews perform maintenance activities in the area.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that there will be road closures in both directions on the parkway at Cleveland Street in Mount Pleasant between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Wednesday, Sept. 18 through Friday, Sept. 20.

During the construction project, drivers can expect delays and should follow the posted detour.

The NYSDOT notes that “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license."
